Matthew 25:34-40 sheds light on to what it means to trust and belong to Jesus. This passage lists the kinds of things that a follower of Christ does such as feed those who are hungry, clothe those who are naked and visit those who are in prison. He ends with saying, “to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”
Our location is considered one of the less desired due to a high volume of gang-related violence and poverty. Students come to The House DC as a temporary relief from their hardships where our mission is to teach them about Christ, provide counseling, meals and interactive programs and activities in order to keep them off the streets.
When we think about giving back and giving to the needy, we can agree that we are not only helping to make a difference, but are also aligning ourselves with Jesus. We are privileged to participate in something that is dear to His heart.
By giving to The House DC, situated in our local community, we are doing God’s earthly work and supporting the least of these. The House DC needs your financial support in order to provide to those youth who are in need. Your contribution will make a difference as we continue to usher Christ into their lives in hopes of preparing them for a limitless future.
